Loxley Road and Manor Road in Stratford-upon-Avon will be closed from 4.30pm to 8.30pm on Sunday 1 November for Stratford Rugby Club’s Bonfire and Fireworks Night, under a district council order published by the Town Council on 29 October.

The Loxley Road closure runs from its junction with Tiddington Road to its junction with Avon Crescent, which takes in the stretch past the club’s Pearcecroft ground. Manor Road is closed along its length.

What the Loxley Road closure means

  • No driving and no parking: while the order is in force, nobody may drive on the two roads or leave a vehicle waiting there. Breaking it on purpose can mean a fine of up to £1,000.
  • Exceptions: police, fire and ambulance vehicles, utility companies dealing with an emergency, and anything a police officer allows.
  • If you live there: the order makes no exception for residents, so if you live on Manor Road or that part of Loxley Road, plan any car journeys for before 4.30pm or after 8.30pm, or ask a marshal or police officer on the night.
  • Tiddington Road itself isn’t in the order, but expect it to be busy with people walking to the display.

The bonfire night itself

Gates open at 5pm, the bonfire is lit at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7pm, at Pearcecroft, Loxley Road, CV37 7DP. The club’s early-bird tickets (£7.50 for adults, £4 for children aged 3 to 15, under-3s free) closed on 20 October. When we checked the club’s events page on 30 October, it still hadn’t published later or on-the-gate prices. Our rugby club bonfire guide has everything else we know.

Getting there without the car

Pearcecroft is about a 15-minute walk from Bridge Street, over Clopton Bridge. With the roads around the ground closed, walking is the easy option. If you do drive into town, our Stratford parking guide has every car park and its evening prices. The clocks went back last weekend, so it will be dark before the gates open: a torch helps on the way home.

If you have pets nearby, our fireworks and pets guide lists every local display date, and every other display near Stratford is in our Bonfire Night 2026 guide. All planned closures are on our Stratford road closures page.
