How to see the plans or comment
Every application has a reference, such as 26/02414/LBC. Search for it on the council’s planning portal to see the drawings and documents, check its progress, and leave a comment. You can also email planning.applications@stratford-dc.gov.uk. Comments become part of the public record.
What the application types mean
- Full planning application: permission to build or change something, from house extensions to new homes and shops.
- Listed building consent: needed for works to a listed building, which Stratford has a lot of.
- Tree works: notice of work to trees in a conservation area or protected by a tree preservation order.
- Lawful development certificate: confirmation that something doesn’t need planning permission, or is already lawful.
- Prior approval: a lighter process for some changes allowed under permitted development, such as larger extensions or farm buildings becoming homes.
For the bigger applications and what the Planning Committee decides, see our weekly Planning this week round-up.
About this data
This search covers applications from the council’s weekly lists for up to the past six months (we started collecting them in September 2026). To protect people’s privacy we don’t show applicants’ or agents’ names, and we leave house numbers off addresses. Your postcode is looked up with the free postcodes.io service and isn’t stored by us. “Use my location” stays in your browser.
