The Bear Pit Theatre in Stratford is showing a film every evening of the October half-term week, from Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 October. Its community cinema has a new British comedy, a David Hockney documentary, a preview of a new independent film and two horror classics for Halloween. Every screening starts at 7pm, and most tickets cost £6.

Tickets
Book on the Bear Pit’s website or on 0333 666 3366. The box office at the theatre opens 30 minutes before each screening. The theatre offers four tickets for the price of three, taken off at checkout. The community cinema screenings are supported by Stratford Town Trust.
Most of the films are rated 15, so this is a week for teenagers and adults rather than younger children. For daytime ideas with children, see our October half-term guide. For more Halloween evenings, see our Halloween nights out guide.
Also at the Bear Pit
Before the films, the theatre is showing Ladies Down Under, Amanda Whittington’s comedy, from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October. The community cinema returns on Sunday 8 November with Oh! What a Lovely War. All of these are in our Stratford events calendar.
