Families in Stratford-upon-Avon can cut the cost of eating out over the October half-term, with five places in town offering free children’s meals. Warwickshire schools are off from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, and the deals below were checked on each chain’s own website.
Where kids eat free in Stratford
- Cox’s Yard, Bridgefoot: two free kids’ meals (for under-12s) for every adult who orders a main course and a drink, Monday to Friday during the school holidays. Kids’ desserts aren’t included.
- Zizzi, 23 Sheep Street: a free kids’ Bambini meal with every adult main, from 18 October to 1 November. It doesn’t apply on Saturdays.
- ASK Italian, Bell Court: kids eat free all day, every day in October through the ASK Perks app, so download it before you go.
- Morrisons café, Alcester Road: one free kids’ meal (a main, a side and a drink) with any adult meal over £5. This one runs all year, and there’s also a deal of two adult meals and two kids’ meals for £15.
- Burger King, Maybird Centre: a Kids Eat Free offer in the Burger King app, where the terms are shown.
Offers like these usually apply only at participating restaurants and can end early, so check with the branch when you book.
Free things to do that week
Not everything costs money over half-term. The Royal Shakespeare Company’s storytelling sessions for 4 to 8-year-olds (Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October) and its Halloween costume making (Friday 30 October) are free but need booking, and the RSC’s exhibition in the Swan Theatre is free every day. The refurbished Rec playground by the river is free, and the Bear Pit Theatre is showing a film every evening from Tuesday 27 October for £6, with four tickets for the price of three. Near Alcester, Coughton Court has a pumpkin patch and an escape trail; reports that kids go free there this half-term aren’t on its own website yet, so check when you book.
