Six and Hamilton Stars Join RSC’s All Is But Fantasy

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is bringing a surge of electric, West End energy to Stratford-upon-Avon this winter. In a major casting announcement released today, the RSC revealed a lineup of musical theatre powerhouses for the world premiere of All Is But Fantasy, signaling a bold new direction for the historic venue.

Blurring the lines between a rock concert and a Shakespearean drama, the new “gig-theatre” production will feature alumni from some of the UK’s biggest pop-culture phenomenons, including Six the Musical, Hamilton, and Moulin Rouge.

A West End Invasion at The Other Place

Running from 21 January to 21 February at The Other Place in Stratford-upon-Avon, the production promises to be a high-octane collision of Shakespearean myth and contemporary sound. The show is created and directed by Tony Award-nominee Whitney White, who also stars in the production.

For theatre fans in the West Midlands and beyond, the casting represents a “who’s who” of modern musical theatre talent. The ensemble includes:

  • Renée Lamb (Original Cast of Six the Musical, Little Shop of Horrors) as First Witch.
  • Georgina Onuorah (Hamilton, The Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma!) as Second Witch.
  • Timmika Ramsay (Moulin Rouge, Guys and Dolls) as Third Witch.
  • Juliette Crosbie (A Christmas Carol) as Desdemona/Juliet.
  • Daniel Krikler (RSC’s Wendy & Peter Pan, Fiddler on the Roof) as Man.

Whitney White: A Broadway Force in Stratford

Making her creative and stage debut at the RSC, Whitney White is set to star alongside the cast as “Woman.” White is a rising star in the global theatre scene, celebrated for her Obie Award-winning and Tony-nominated work on Broadway (Jaja’s African Hair Braiding).

White describes the show as a genre-bending experience fueled by a “red-hot soundtrack” spanning rock, soul, pop, and gospel. Speaking on the casting news, White said:

“This ensemble is exceptional. Renée, Georgina, Timmika, Daniel, and Juliette are remarkable artists whose individual strengths cohere into a truly dynamic collective… together they have shaped a world that feels both immediate and boldly imaginative.”

Special Event: Dame Harriet Walter Returns

In addition to the run of All Is But Fantasy, the RSC announced a special one-off event sure to draw crowds to Stratford. On 7 February, acting legend Dame Harriet Walter will join Whitney White for Reframing Women in Shakespeare.

This “in-conversation” event at The Other Place will explore female representation in the Bard’s work, bridging the gap between the classical tradition of Dame Harriet and the avant-garde innovation of White.
