The Stratford-on-Avon “123+” service can be confusing, especially after the Bank Holidays. As a reminder: your Food Waste is collected every week, your Blue Recycling Bin every two weeks, and your Grey Rubbish Bin only every three weeks.
Because the schedules vary by street (Round A vs Round B), we cannot list every single date here. However, the Bank Holiday rules apply to everyone.
⚠️ Urgent: New Year’s Collection Changes (This Week)
If you are reading this on the weekend of Jan 3/4 2026, please note that collections have “slid” back due to the New Year’s Day Bank Holiday.
- Scheduled for Thursday Jan 1? collected on Friday Jan 2.
- Scheduled for Friday Jan 2? collected on Saturday Jan 3 (Today!).
From Monday 5 January 2026, all collections return to their normal scheduled day.

For the rest of the year, remember this rule: In Stratford District, if there is a Bank Holiday, your collection will usually slide back by one day for the rest of that week.

Garden Waste & Christmas Trees 🎄
If you pay for the Green Bin service, the winter suspension is almost over.
- Service Resumes: Week commencing Monday 5 January 2026.
- Real Tree Collection: You can put your real Christmas tree out with your green bin from Jan 5th to Jan 19th (approx).
Tree Rules: Remove all lights/decorations/pots. If the tree is over 5ft tall, please cut it in half. Place it INSIDE your green bin if possible, or neatly next to it.
